I have been a collector for more than 60 years. No longer able to keep up with a general collection, I specialize in the stamps, covers, etc. commemorating Rotary International, Kiwanis International, and the America's Cup yachting races, the boats, and the personalities. I appreciate the patience my new European friends have extended as it has been 50 years since I studied French in high school (3 years), and nearly that long since I studied German in college (1 semester). I have picked up a very little Spanish from hearing it spoken, and from my basic knowledge of ecclesiastical Latin.  I can generally read all three languages, although I am not able to speak or write that well any more (other than English).
