bonsoir liard,
remember, i am cajun, not parisian. our dialect is 'conasse', according to our french cousins. the story :znaika::

Link (http)

it is the reason for my little raccoon.

and never any harm intended when used. it is a hertiage and many cajuns are proud of it. we don't really care what we are called as long as it is not late for a gumbo dinner. :D :applause:

bonsoir PCP,
i would hope you have visited quebec, the wonderful paris of the west. i would love to go there one day. and also montreal. i lived in oscoda, michigan at wurtsmith afb years ago with my dad before we ended up here in tampa at macdill afb where dad died on active duty while i was in the army. the base has closed in michigan, but i would love to go back and do some fishin' in my old places on the au sable river. it was beautiful country and lovely pine woods. i will never forget the great memories there.

amities et a bientot,

bonsoir randy,
i ain't no professor. but i got a good college education with 4 years and 2 minor associate degrees and some courses at USF. i read many historical books as a kid and being a philatelist, you learn very much reading the stamp catalogs, much like you do postcards. kids don't learn anything from computer games unless they are geared to education, unfortunately. my son likes to play violent ones and he was in the army, and in iraq. that bothers me. i keep telling him to take the courses offered by ford and his job at the dealership online to improve his job performance and his paycheck. and to use his G.I. benefits to go to college that he 'paid' for. he's married with 3 kids, but my wife and i can watch them if he goes. i want him to become 'smarter than the average bear.' his granfather and great granfather were pharmacists. i was in medicine too. then the usps. all this after being retired from the army from wounds received in the vietnam war. he is healthy and smart, but needs to apply himself more. he was a top sergeant in the army and i know he has the potential to do more. take care and a good weekend to you.

amities,
cajunsr.
