hi y'all,
as i have been abscent for some time but able to read the forum daily, i have seen a lot of turmoil develop about selling on delcampe. especially the small batches of little value, e.g. a stamp for 2 cents. granted, everyone here has a right to sell whatever they want to but they should be expected to do so within reasonable bounds. as a philatelist, i give this example to those who are are selling the collection passed on say from an 'uncle recently deceased'. they are not philatelist and sell a common stamp for pennies here. it may sell but the truth is - it will most likely sit on the shelf for many years. my suggestion- sell the entire collection with pictures if possible. images make the sell along with a good and honest description. if you need help, consult a stamp dealer or look to the forum for help. it is always here for that purpose. this same procedure can be applied to coins, and other collectables. delcampe is also here to help with his staff. this advice will help you and the other sellers have a peaceful co-existance. my best to you.
